Kate Kate has a diverse background and wears many hats! She has a Master's Degree in Counseling and is a Board Certified Life Coach with a background in training and development. In 2005 she took her own "coaching advice" by following the life long dream of moving to a small farm where her menagerie of well-loved animals assists her in empowering and inspiring others. In 2014, she once again "coached" herself into a new venture when she opened The Art of Cheese, and artisan home-cheesemaking school. When not making cheese, riding horses or milking her goats, Kate can often be found at the Boulder County Fairgrounds where she co-leads a 4-H club and serves as Superintendent of Utility Goats for the Boulder County Fair.
Brian Brian grew up in a neighborhood that bordered a horse farm, but never rode horses or even had any pets until he was an adult and met Kate! Whether or not he actually ever had a choice in the matter, he has come to love the animals and is a wonderful caretaker and farm helper. He is the main fix-it guy on the farm and can milk a goat as well as anyone. He enjoys the morning feeding routine and is happy to act as head cheese taster. When he's not working around the farm, he can be found at his "real" job as the Manager of the Snow & Ice Lab at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
